As we explored issues of access, space, and history (among others) on UMD’s campus, we came across more resources than we could use in the time we had. The following acts as a cursory list of materials we found that merit further investigation and research.
Resource: Maryland Historical Trust
- The architect of Morrill Hall is listed as Henry B. McDonnell in College Park by Stephanie STullich and Katharine D. Bryant. According to a record from the Maryland Historical Trust, Henry B. McDonnell was appointed Marshall of the College Park volunteer fire department, and was Dean and Professor of Chemistry at the University of Maryland. Further research should be done to determine if these two are the same person (or just share a name).
